The Fairland Civic Organization (FCO) is an award-winning community.

Fairland seeks to create a community where multi-generational individuals and families  can thrive, grow, learn, and daily experience a culture of mutual kindness.

We Plant Seeds of Kindness - Our Super Power

Strong communities are built upon mutual respect and random acts of kindness. These attributes are demonstrated across generations and can range from sharing in a neighborhood cleanup to rolling a trash can for a neighbor.
It is often the simple things that make the most impact - speaking to a neighbor, sharing a smile, a story, a flower. Kindness truly is our super power.
About the Fairland Civic Organization
The Fairland Civic Organization diligently works to give voice to individuals and families living in this award-winning neighborhood.
Nestled between I-581 to the north, Cove Road to the South, and Andrews Road to the East, Fairland is a small  community that works together to promote health, education, safety, and grand acts of kindness.
Neighbors come together to celebrate holidays, community events such as National Night Out, and the annual "Love Thy Neighbor" brunch held during the month of February.
Neighborhood meetings are held on the first Monday during the months of November, February, April, and June. The September meeting is held on the third Monday of the month.
Our meetings are held at the Melrose Public Library.

 NNO '22

National Night Out

NNO 2022 was the perfect opportunity to acquaint ourselves with neighbors old and new. It was also a chance to build relationships with City of Roanoke's first responders.
