About the Event

Plan now to join neighbors old and new as the Virginia Western - Northwest Collaborative: United for Impact celebrates Earth Day 2023. This community wide-even welcomes individuals, groups, and families as well as non-profits, service clubs, schools, and churches to participate in this cleanup and beautification initiative.

The Villa Heights and Fairland neighborhoods are the target area where volunteers will pick up litter. Volunteers  who are William Fleming Seniors or attend Virginia Western can apply for a series of scholarships.

Event sponsors include the Fairland Civic Organization, Virginia Western - NW Collaborative,

Alliance for Excellence, and Clean Valley Roanoke.

The first 50 registrants will receive swag bags and or plants donated by Virginia Western.

YOUR INPUT PLEASE

TAKE THE EVANS SPRING SURVEY

The City of Roanoke has engaged the services of a consulting team to develop a Master Plan for the Evans Spring Property. However, it is essential to hear the voices of those most impacted, especially those in nearby neighborhoods. The owners of the property wish to explore options for eventual development; however, the ultimate goal is to envision what a WIN LOOKS LIKE FOR EVERYONE.

NOMINATIONS PLEASE

Now is the time to submit nominations in seven categories for recognition in this year's Annual City Neighborhoods' Awards Program.

Our neighborhood and its members have been the recipients several of the awards in the recent past. Let's keep it up.
